I glued the two tubes together for the L-13 yesterday. It was a pretty tricky deal, because the tubes are 1.6" in diameter and the coupler tube is only 2" long. However, I got a nice straight joint, and as soon as I finish filling the joint, I'll have a nice straight 28.5" piece of tubing.
It's a tricky rocket, and I'm taking it pretty slow because of that and school. But I've got the motor mount assembled, and the tubes glued, and from here on in it shouldn't be too hard.
